being a creator is hard.... if you want to create quality stuffs..... if you succceed by applying yourself into it, you can create beautiful arts/stuffs too but not everyone can have the vibes of it

I'm not an inventor of physical things, but rather I'm an inventor of ideas and word pictures.  I'm a writer.  I've been writing since I was in high school.  Over the years I've written many novels, short stories and children's stories - all unpublished.  I've "invented" numerous worlds and characters (such as my name here).  I'm also a very logical minded person (OCD?).  However, my mind is nowhere near "neat as a pin".  It's full of characters, ideas and storylines striving to get out.

I've noticed your ability to articulate your thoughts shuhak. It's a shame you're not published though. May I ask why? Have you ever submitted any of your work to a publisher?  I'd LOVE to read some of your stuff. I very much enjoy it when you show up to answer a question of mine on Answermug. It's NEVER a waste of my time. I loved THE HOBBIT and all the books that came from it. I LOVED the Harry Potter series. If you have invented worlds and characters don't you want to share them with folks who might well love THEM too? Thank you for your reply shuhak and Happy Monday! :)

The reason why I've never published is largely due to 2 things -

1, I'm a perfectionist (to the point of OCD) and (2), I'm overly sensitive.
My writings are a part of me (hard to explain).  On rare occasions I have, reluctantly, allowed a few others to glimpse some of my work.  Yet if they had even one critical thing to say (even if it was constructive) I took it personally and had to rewrite the entire work (yes, that means deleting the original).  Everything has to be perfect (I know, I know, that's an impossibility).  Rewriting entire novels can take many years (even now some of my rewrites remain incomplete as new stories have come up and taken precedence).  It took me over an hour of writing and rewriting just to answer your original question (had to be 100% perfect).  It's a very annoying trait that even therapy was unable to help.

Junk drawer. I'm a logical thinker but when I'm in a creative reverie (guitar on my lap, pen in hand, eyes unfocused) a lot of really jumbled stuff comes up. I get it down and then try to sort it out.

I think I'm that way too Sbf. I mean I'm a retired Internal Auditor so I had to think logically, methodically. BUT as you can see by the questions I ask my mind is filled with all kinds of things that I question when I'm on Answermug just as it was on Answerbag. It's like a spigot is turned on to full pressure and I can't ask them fast enough sometimes. So I guess you'd say our minds are AC/DC then? I don't consider myself a "creative" type unless curiosity and questioning fits that description. But I am definitely of two minds.  Stream-of-consciousness existence where logic gets in the way when you're in that place? Or perhaps there really is an underlying structure to all  of it. Thank you for your reply! :)
