What do you think of retail stores being open on Thanksgiving (and/or other holidays)?

  • I like it because sometimes you're  supposed to bake a pie for thanksgiving dinner and then you remember you can't bake ... so you can pick one up on the way. That being said, I've never worked retail,  so I'm being selfish. I know you work retail.. so don't yell at me ;)

    It's just a day like any ole day .... Why not open if people want to shop and others want to work ?

    It is a regular day except for those who celebrate it with family. I don't mind either way because it's better pay ;) But I can only think of a couple people that I know that want to work the holiday, while the rest wish it could be one more day off.

    So many food shops open 24/7 and 365 days a year in England.....Even the huge hyper market and smaller immigrant owned shops never ever close their doors....

    I was was told that 7/11 shops don't have locks on their doors as they never ever shut......I'm not sure it that true though.....
