The Patience of Job. I admire folks who are unfailingly patient. I am not . Why are some folks patient and others so lousy at it? Anyone?

Well there are at least two kinds of patience.

One has to do with not giving a fig as to what happens either way because the person has no interest in much and just lets life pass him by.

And the other is a person who trusts that all is for the best anyway and they let go and let God.

I think intent has to do with any admiration I would have about the person's behavior.
