The difference is the cost of transportation. Natural gas comes to your house through an underground pipeline that was paid off decades ago. Propane is delivered by truck. Trucks are expensive and require a driver. I have natural gas deep underground below my house that I could get for the cost of a well. Unfortunately, I can't get it legally because I don't own enough acreage. Dumb law! There are some farmers around here who have their own wells to heat their houses.
