    Yes, once arriving dead tired at work after a night on the web I saw animals as I walked down the corridors at work. Suddenly a rabbit (or a rat) would run along the wall next to me, birds cam flying out of the ventilation grilles, etc. etc.

    I knew it was illusion. ventilation grilles don't have holes big enough for a bird to fly through, and rabbits in a building on the tenth story, really ;-))

    It only happened that one day, I imposed a bit more sleeping discipline on myself and never saw it again after that.

    Another illusion I have seen are through the slats in those adjustable dropdown curtains. Any straight lines visible through the slats gets cut into little pieces that have a different slant so they do not seem to belong together. It is a very reliable illusion, you can see it any time by slanting the slats so you only see about half of the scenery outside. there are also curtains with vertical slats, and it works with them too.
