Is marrying for health insurance still a thing?

How does someone get in on that?
(I'm asking for a friend.)

Yes, I think it might even be on the rise.  How you get in on that is to find someone who has great health insurance willing to marry you.  Voila!  I'm so glad I could help you with this problem.

I know someone who refuses to get divorced because she'll lose her health insurance.  Personally, I think she's an idiot because she spends all her time complaining about her husband.  Did I mention it's a friendship I ended?  Who wants to listen to that sh*t?  Not me.

Yes, and it's still insurance fraud.  Tell your friend.

Eh, that's debatable. It depends on the language of the insurance policy as well as the marriage laws of your state.

I have A] one of the best health insurance plans around (PPO at that), B] a bottle of wine to help loosen the inhibitions, C] a truly burning desire to help, and D] a free evening to iron out the details.  Why not drop by and we'll see what can be arranged?
