Why do women have to be so hard to gift shop for?

It's true.   It's so hard.  
 
Use men are so much easier.  Is it cool or useful?   Then that's what you get us.   You can even have fun just looking at the kinds of stuff guys like. Tools, outdoor equipment, car and motorcycle stuff..  Hell just get us a new switch blade or a nice hip flask and we are elated.  A new fishing pole?  Awesome.  Snow shoes?  I needed a new pair.  A bottle of single malt Scotch?   Thank you so much.   You bought me a sawzall?   Great!
See how easy that is?  Just ask yourself.   " Is this awesome, fun, or useful?"  If the answer is no then don't get it.  If yes it's a winner.
When shopping for women for Christmas though different story.  You can't do that because it's one piece of crap that is terrible and another equal piece of crap that is wonderful.   There's no rhyme or reason to it.
Women? One is perfect and the other is ugly. Both things are useless and boring and both cost a fortune for a piece of cloth or a useless trinket that fits in 1inx1in box.  It is also never fun or interesting looking at the stuff that women like.
You go shopping for a woman and you just feel "  That place just scammed me".  Then you worry if she will like it because it defies reason that they anyone would get that excited fora $200 pendant or $130 shoes that aren't steal toed or some expensive bottle of concentrated tear gas called perfume.

    Yeah, don't buy them clothes, shoes or jewelry. If they haven't tried it on in the store, they won't know if they'll like it. Go shopping with them. Flash your card. "I'm paying - get what you want".

  • That's a lame Christmas.   Besides I got my Moms, cousins, aunts, and sister to shop for. 

    Girlfriends are much easier to shop for.

    Oh them?  The family? 

    All the more reason to give the money.  I think you like this and you are not admitting it.  I think you like the challenge.  Plus maybe it is fun to watch people open gifts and be amazed at you.  I haven't had to do this in so long, I forgot the fun part. 

    The people in my life right now?  Keep telling me they don't want what I gave them.

     I totally am the same way.  I like to buy gifts but my efforts lately have been quashed by two people who are dear to me.  They are both anal-retentive, I have to deal.

    But it is fun and a challenge to figure out what would delight or amuse.  Definitely

  • Nah, not doing to be creative :) just doing cos needs be done. I hate the tedious cutting in part but like the roil on see finish part :) something comforting about see it get done.. same reason I like shovelling snow.. I'm weird like that:)

    Are you KIDDING me?

    Women are easy to shop for if you don't have an anal-retentive man or woman.

    The men in my life are horrid to shop for.

    The trick is?  Buy them exactly what they want And if they don't want anything specific, give them a damn gift card and tell them to stuff it.

  • I'm usually up by 4:30 am everyday :) I have day off today though ... I'm supposed to be painting spare room. But I got board of cutting in primer after one wall. Primer is boring.cutting in boring. I just like when I get to use the roller.
