Well, not exactly. I have done my fair of goosing and been goosed numerous times and been nailed by the same person who goosed me. I guess there is an art to it when you use your vivid imagination ;)
They used to say, it's just a jack-booted goose-step from snurging to goosing. But I haven't heard that saying for a long time now - not since the young tars were denied shore-leave for practices unbecoming.
