I'm thinking specifically of critics. Book, restaurants, music, fashion whatever. They are useless on their own alone. They require others to review before they have anything to do. Parasites? Is it a symbiotic relationship? They feed off each other OR does the parasite eat away all day till nothing is left of the host? I dunno. Earning a living as a critic would not be my cuppa tea. Not for me. For those who don't have any skills or talents or pride or creativity I guess it's a great career.
