Would it make a difference to you if the daily barrage of posts were always about something positive, lighthearted or funny?

At least that way they would be something to look forward to.  (Heck, who knows, they might even get more responses that way, and even a few 'Likes'.)

    Certainly positive would be an improvement.  Don't know about "light-hearted" or "funny".  Seems to me what some people think of as funny is not at all funny to others.

    I think we should encourage activity on the site. We all like and enjoy different types and topics of posts. And as long as we stay within the rules, we should all be encouraged to post.

    I think you answered your own question. 
    The change would be dramatic, in my view. There would be less compulsion to scroll past so many inane posts.

    It certainly would lighten up my mornings and afternoons when I come on here and am greeted with a suffocating amount of Hate The President and his White house questions. Im not a hater, and feel very unhappy to be in the company of so much hate.

    In the mornings and afternoons, AM does show there are many people who feel the need to exert their hatred for our President.  It doesn't all have to be kittens and puppies but some variety would be nice.

    It just feels very one sided . There are a lot of people who support our President, we won the election didnt we? Unfortunately, the scale is favored to the extreme left on this site.

  • Extremes are the problem. I don't claim either party. There are things I like and dislike about both. We need more diplomacy. Maybe someone should start a topic about diplomacy.

    carbon, you hit the nail on the head.  It does feel extremely lopsided.  When it comes to politics, people are argumentative.  It's the politics I don't like not necessarily our President.  If I were to go the level and the reasons why I don't agree with the politics behind the man, it might help to clarify who is actually in hate for a man they have never met but rather the structure behind him. 
    I'm not sure if people will disconnect the two or if they want to.  My personal thoughts on the whole shabang would take pages and that would be the short version! We all know how long-winded I tend to be anyway! Giggles!
