He goes by impulse. He doesn't plan ahead. He reacts to NOW and never thinks about the next minute. Oy vey. A thinker he isn't. No. I'm not gonna say "a stinker he is". That would be way too easy. I don't do easy. :)
In this life, you can love a child while disliking the parent. The graduates of the Academy represent the future of the organization regardless of how much it may stink today. Having been a graduate of a police academy myself, I know from first hand experience how eager these young people are to use their skills and training to make a difference. It's not their fault that politics plays a huge role in the administration and over sight of an agency. I was part of a law enforcement agency that was rife with political intrigue. Still, some of the finest people in the business were having to work and contribute in that kind of atmosphere. We can only hope for a good house cleaning and a favorable future as the next generation comes through the ranks. That, is what I view as "CRAPPY". I realize that you fail to understand that the president can address any group at any time and believe it or not, he has a right to an opinion.
