Caligula and DonJohn could be twins separated only by time. Caligula was so full of himself he declared himself a Living God. See?

Caligula wanted to be all-powerful. When he achieved that he wanted more. To be worshipped as a living deity. Well he** so does DonJohn. History repeats itself when we don't learn from it. SIGH. To learn you have to be willing and able.  Double SIGH. :(
