I find wildflowers most beautiful right where they grow.

We agree thee and me. I am NOT a fan of cutting flowers to imprison them in vases and watch them die when they could live so much longer where they grow. HOWEVER when there is one lovely perfect bud on a rose bush that is being trimmed/cut back I do love seeing it in a bud vase on the bookshelf. When Jim trims our rose bushes...cuts them back..he always finds one perfect rose in bud form to bring in for us to enjoy. Thank you for your reply B and Happy Thursday to thee.

As we would be pulling out of the drive for work in the spring, my husband would always stop when he spotted the first daffodil, peony, or rose in our garden and pick it for me.  Thanks for bringing that memory to the surface.  :)

    I'm a single rose.
By default I'm viewed as simple.......
As a bunch we look delightful .
Yet we're not really there for picking...... :)D

Me too NJ. I've always felt so bad that flowers are torn from their natural habitat to live out their shortened lives incarcerated in a container filled with water when they would have lived so much longer if left alone! The value of doing nothing is looms large where that is concerned. Thank you for your reply! :)
