It benefits them, so why not?

I know when any Democrat put into place social programs, a whole bunch of people made a lot of noise over the budget.

Well m'dear ya gotta understand. The GOP sucks up to the wealthy so whatever they do for the obscenely wealthy is fine and dandy. Social programs, on the other hand, are for the poor, the old, the young, the ill, the typically average. Nothing there to benefit them so we are all expendable. Ain't it GREAT? Thank you for you reply PeaPod! :)  Sometimes reality sucks bigtime doesn't it? :(

If you pay attention for most deficits only matter when the other party is in power.

To be fair, factors beyond the president's control affect both deficits and the debt, but factually, Obama had the highest deficits to date.

It helps when doing direct comparisons, does it not?  My link gave the dollar amounts, yours gives the deficit/GDP.  We could play with numbers all day, but my point stands.

So under Clinton the GDP grew a lot faster than the deficit ? :-))

Under Clinton there were four years each of deficits and surpluses, for a net decrease of 1%.  You made a factually inaccurate statement, Jakob,  which I corrected with the caveat that many factors come into play, several of which are beyond the president's (whomever that may be)  control.  Your statement was actually inaccurate by two measures.  Not only did Obama have the largest deficits to date, but not a single deficit is as yet attributable to Trump.  Own it.

You are aware that a 0% unemployment rate is impossible to achieve, I assume?  Then again, perhaps I assume too much.

People who cannot find work could become self employed somehow -selling Avon or Tupperware or something.
Yes, 'course there would be some who are muchly unemployable for some reasons.

Perhaps but NOT EQUALLY. The advent of the little donjohn screwed everything up, skewed everything, flipflopped everything, destroyed everything of value and is replacing it piece by piece bit by bit by WHATEVER SERVICES THE OBSCENELY WEALTHY JUST LIKE HIM! It wasn't the Dems who put him forth as a prez candidate It wasn't the Dems who voted for him to be president.  Almost 3 MILLION MORE DEMS voted for Hillary. She won the POPULAR VOTE and the loser little donjohn by a fluke of electoral college madness gets to sit in the oval office and play the role of prez. He was a bogus candidate and he is a bogus prez. Not the fault of Dems unless you blame them for  backing Hillary, not Bernie. Do you? Thank you for your reply Zack and Happy Friday! :) So would YOU have voted for Bernie?
