I do prefer it.. and I choose local where possible.. My reasoning is that generally speaking they have more interest and investment in their services.. they care.. big business is impersonal.. and often uncaring.
Precisely! I always prefer to buy local too. Why not spend the money in the city in which we live? Also I like cozy and familiar and personal. You don't get that from HUGE establishements. I guess I'm just a small town gal at heart Addb! Thank you for your reply! :) Well except that at our local Walmart I'm on a hugging basis with a few of the employees and also at our Winco store. They see Jim and me come in weekly and smile and say hello. That is a really nice thing to be on the receiving end of. In fact if we don't show up at our usual time or our usual day that ask why? Or if they see just me they ask "where is your husband". It just makes us feel like individuals and not impersonal everyones. Thank you for your reply Addb!
