Gere and garve are disqualified, so you have four words in the running.

Veg and rev are disqualified as abbreviations, so your count is fifteen. Great job!

Both are acceptable in Scrabble and listed in dictionaries.

I don't disagree with you that they are valid words, they just don't fall under the parameters set forth in this game.

They are not slang or abbreviations, though that is their origin...they are now considered informal verbs and nouns.

    1) Ava, 2) regave, and 3) vera are disqualified as a non-English word, non-word, and a proper name, respectively, leaving your score at sixteen. Great work!

[We here at the Gaming Council already know that you're most likely going to protest the findings, so bring it on. Sigh.]

The expression was intentionally separated for dramatic effect. The period stays. (A simple puzzle he can't do because of laziness, but he breaks an arm trying to take me down on punctuation!  The hutzpah on this one, right?  I should live so long!) (Just joking!)

Vera is out as a proper name, raver is one I didn't have; your overall score is nine.  Honorable mention!

Can letters be used twice if they don't appear twice in "average"?

Will you tell us yours when the game is done?

You're the first person to get the easiest word: "a"!  You have thirteen of the seventeen words, outstanding job!

In your list of words, any one letter may be used as many times as it appears in the game word.  In this instance, that means that the allowable letters are: aaeegrv, as seen in the description field of my question.

Yes, later in January, I will publish the 17 words plus any that I have learned from all of you.
