A perfectly balanced combination of humor and intelligence.

  • I look for people who are good listeners, able to talk about a variety of subjects beneath the surface, people who are loyal, not flakey, and are easygoing.

An agenda-less humanity I find not to be taken for granted. This post was edited by O-uknow at January 1, 2018 4:06 PM MST

A true friend has no underlying purpose for being your friend.

I don't know. I haven't found a friend in 55 years, and I never understood why that one wanted to be a friend when nobody else did.

  • I look for not one quality but many, although I'm content with just a few.
Honesty, openness, depth, good will and warmth probably come first.
It's easier if we share at least some values and interests in common.
I also greatly appreciate someone who is highly articulate, intelligent, free thinking and creative.
