I see him as unexploded ordinance.

As such, perhaps it would be best not to disturb him too much while in his presence---could be very dangerous.

Their paychecks play an important role.

I guess their paychecks are very huge and bigly and they don't want to annoy the cash cow in any way so they play "Let's Pretend" and what they are pretending is that we the people have a prez who is lucid and rational. Holding it together day after day as they do means they are all excellent actors/actresses playing a role and know one day they will move on to another play. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Sharon! :)

It's beyond me. I can't imagine anyone reasoning meeting him without feeling nauseous.

I guess the pay is good. I just think of them as actors/actresses reading lines written for them (lines they know are being monitored by the big guy) and so they feel no obligation to be honorable/truthful since they are all simply playing the roles for which they were chosen. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Addb. The play is already much too long and I wonder when and how it will end? This post was edited by RosieG at January 10, 2018 2:05 AM MST
