I haven't and don't play it ... having said that, a lot of people are getting up off their butts and walking around and gasp, talking with others and having fun ... it's not all bad :)

My son is the only kid in his group of friends who doesn't have the app. When he asked me why that is, I responded: "Because life is better experienced when you're aware of your surroundings."

It's a fad. It gives people something to talk about with their friends.

Once the novelty has worn off, it will fade back into obscurity and some other fad will take over.

Yes.  I know.  I know it is a fad.  But such a weird one.  There is a lot of time driving around to nowhere and a lot of gas involved so you can capture a picture and tell everyone else you got a picture of something they all have pictures of.

And that is the reward.

I mean that has to be the worst fad ever.  LOL

Imagine the possibilities.  An app developed by a foreign country manages to get people to map out every nook and cranny in the country.  The potential benefits to an enemy are enormous!

I honestly don't know what gives me the creeps more; the game or that the game is so popular.
