What is your favorite art style

I like pretty much all forms. It's not so much the style, but what it conveys. 

Sculptor 

I took an art class once. The assignment was to tour the local art museum and write a review. I reviewed the building because I thought that was the best part of the exhibition. I was a bit surprised when the teacher agreed.

I agree with JA's view.

One form I never like is kitsch. If the work shouts its sentiment at first glance and has no depth or layers of meaning, I cease to be interested.

But any style can be interpreted a variety of ways!  Don't know as I have one but I love early Dutch/Flemish  masters, English 19th century landscapes, The School of the Hague, impressionism, realism.  Most of the paintings and prints I have been able to purchase are realistic or slightly abstract.  I don't know - I am sure there are styles too I have never heard of.
