The President's paid stooge did what he was told to do and said what he was told to say. Of course. What else has this Presidency done but show us (transparency, I believe it's called now) how to lie and backpeddle to keep out of range of subpoenas and pink slips. And his base now hold the puppet strings rather than his initial strategy of his controlling the base. The base tells Trump when to "sh*t", literally.
They tell him what to say, how to say it and when to lie about what they told him to say. It's really horrific.
So, back to your querie, I think the writing is on the wall. He will resign after irrefutable evidence that he is behind too many crimes to count.

I'm not so sure the President is out of danger. He is one pound shy of being "obese" and his bad cholesterol is high. He is an increased risk for heart attack, so saying he's "healthy" is not very accurate.
With that said, I don't wish a heart attack on him, no matter how much I dislike him. Maybe if he is deserving of impeachment, I will breath a little easier, but not by much. I have no love for VP Pence.
I am just hoping for the 2018 and 2020 elections to turn his agenda on his head.
