WHY is it important to know the ethnic makeup of a country? 95% of Haitians are predominantly African. So what?

86% of Norwegians are descendants of Vikings and White. So what? Of what possible use is that information when considering immigration? It tells you NOTHING of the intellect/accomplishments/character of the people. Isn't that important too or is ethnicity the only yardstick of value to the measurers?

    Ethnicity isn't important, all other things being equal. Though OBVIOUSLY they aren't equal. You talk as if the two cultures are equal in their accomplishments, when they clearly aren't. The bottom line is that Haiti is a sh*thole and Norway isn't. So what's your point?

    I'm sure the reason why some societies have achieved more than others is complex. There seems to be a strong correlation between high societal achievement and populations that experience harsh winters. This forced the population to be forward looking and plan ahead. Those who didn't died. This has exerted some selective pressure.

    "Winter is coming!" as the Starks say in Game of Thrones. Societies that have that kind of mentality, a long term outlook, some sense of impending threat that we must prepare for, achieve greatness. Those who don't just eat coconuts in the sun.

    Face it. There is an indirect correlation between ethnicity and societal achievement. This just doesn't sit well with the leftist. Your first impulse is to close your eyes, deny reality, and pretend everyone is the same. We're not.
