A drone(the Little Ripper) saved the lives of two teens caught in rough surf in Australia on Thursday. It didn't take lives. Great right?

It took 70 seconds from launch to rescue...much faster than a lifeguard or any other method could have. It's good to know drones aren't just remote killing machines isn't it? The silver lining?

Just the other day, I saw a similar story where a little boy swimming around a couple enormous sharks.  The boy manged to be brought to safety because of how quickly the people on the ground got the warning.

I almost bought a toy drone for a young relative. It had a video camera, But it was only able to fly for 10 minutes on a charged battery, so I passed on it.
