I am wondering whether this is an American translation of something that made more sense in English. If the case, then it is so subtle that people like me have little chance of comprehending its true, deeper meaning. Nevertheless, let me take a brave shot in the dark (but then, everything is dark these days) and guess that, yes, I am older than I am - on the grounds that I was born by caesarian section (apologies to Randy et al for my sorry ability to insert a diphthong when demand arises). In other words, by the meanest measure, I was already a marginally aging hominid, born 'late', when I first saw light of day, and my official, government-approved, birthday clock started ticking. I have consulted biological specialists and they absolutely agree with me on this point. On the other hand, I have at times outright dismissed the outcome of other medical consultations on the grounds they obviously have no idea what they are talking about.
No, read it again more slowly, then think about it a bit brachko. It is reality, not make-believe. I don't know how I can say it any simpler because I'm not really geared to that. But the world is a wonderful place, if you REALLY don't get it, then that means you are not supposed to - and all is still well with the world.
It makes sense to me. Babies who are born prematurely still start counting from birth, but have actually been in existence for less time on their first birthday than a baby who is born full-term.
