The 2011 donjohn citizen said in an interview with Meredith Vieira when discussing the potential government shutdown at that time said the following
"In my opinion you know I hear that Democrats are going to be blamed and Republicans are going to be blamed. Actually I THINK THE PRESIDENT WOULD BE BLAMED. If there is a shutdown I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He's the one that has to get the people together". So he was very prescient way back then. Placing the blame for a shutdown directly on the shoulders of the prez. He is the prez and the government did shut down. So did he lie when Obama was prez or is his blaming Democrats for the current shutdown a lie now? Does he ever listen to himself or does he blow hot air, it goes out there, and folks who like him believe him and folks who don't tune him out? His words are always on the record and can be verified. Pity that isn't it? His own words are the ones that come back to haunt him and disgrace him and humiliate him. Every time. :)
