What are some reasons that people intentionally use footwear that doesn't fit properly? ~

I have a pair of those boots!
We wear them to show off our assets
We wear them to fit in to a crowd we want to be in
We wear them because they were on sale and we needed them to complete the outfit we must wear to an event
We wear them because they were the only thing we could find at the moment
We wear them because our mother said so
We wear them as a dare
We wear them because our sibling would kick our buns if we didn't 
We wear them because we simply like them, regardless if they fit or not :)
