That's not true sweetie. YOU care. I care. Others care. The problem is that we just don't have the power to DO anything about it. Congress does but this Republican-majority congress won't because they are scared to death of the tiny doofus don base and so they stay in line, look the other way, pretend everything is OK from the lowest newest pol to the big bananas like Paul Ryan and Mitch MocConnell. They are all petrified and so they hang on tight. What needs to happen is that the REPUBLICANS in charge get spines and retrieve whatever moral code they used to have and follow their Constitutional Obligation! Ignore the tiny doofus don base. Are you familiar with the movie "Mr. Smith goes to Washington"? It's with actor Jimmy Stewart and it's about an idealistic pol and his experiences in Washington, D.C. What we need is a few like him to stand up and call the bas**rds out. While what you say is very true (very sad that) about expecting a body to responsibly govern itself I think there does exist somewhere honorable people who can do that. Why do I think so? Because they surfaced in the past and did the right thing. Surely they can't all have become extinct D. It will have to get to a level where even Congress is disgusted and acts responsibly. The doofus don base will never budge. So what? They are a MINORITY. They are the teeny tiny little tail that is currently wagging the dog. How stupid is that? Very. I keep hoping the day is getting nearer when common sense and doing what's right will return. Gotta have hope. Without that where are we? SIGH. I know that if a cop finks on a bada** cop he is targeted and often in peril for his life. But they do exist. They are out there somewhere. I hope. You will never ever get rid of all the corrupt police Rosie........It's a huge armed business .......How can you have any police force that allowed  generates money and keep it.......The police  is really a corporate business that has that allows for no rivals .....

All fines should go to hospitals ,schools ,rehabilitation centres and to help the destitute get back on their feet again....

That is true BUT there will always be a SERPICO who will out them. Ever hear of him? They made a movie about him. He was a cop who "finked" on bad cops. There are whistleblowers everywhere D. Some of them have to go into protective custody and become someone else because their lives are in danger. As there will always be corruption there will always be people to shine a light on it and try to minimize it. I hope more and more whistleblowers stand up and come out.  Long ago journalists who uncovered dirt/corruption were called MUCKRAKERS. I wonder. We all need police I know......we don't need any that think and act like gods though......
ones  that break the law even slightly should loose their job and be treated far harshly the the people they so called police....  

Corrupt cops will probably always be a problem. I wish there were some means of knowing in advance which cops would turn sour or were already sour. Maybe one day? Thank you for your reply D! :)
