When driving on surface streets, if I get four green lights in a row, I equate it to a first down in football.

Do you have anything silly like that wherein you equate one absolutely unconnected thing to another?

Four green lights in a row here would be like winning the lottery.

Very good observation - I think we do a lot of things like that.  While I'm driving I often play classical music like symphonies and other instrumental music and I pretend that the trees moving in the wind - tree branches - are conducting the orchestra.  And when I put our trash and recycling out for collection I find myself wanting to position the containers so they are equidistant from two particular points in our front yard.  Weird how often we think about stuff like that.

Whenever my gal friend gets angry with me -usually for no reason- then the next time I go to use the vending machine to get a sammich I put my money in but get no sammich. I always forget that happens.

When I commuted to work there were three extremely long traffic lights on my route. If all three were green in a single trip (very rarely), I called it the 'trifecta'. I guess it's not completely disconnected, but it's what came to mind.

Does it amaze you as much as it amazes me, Dearie, just how much you and I think alike?

So that means you love me more than I lust after you?
