You only get one thumb-swipe-up from me, pal. If you haven't grabbed my attention by then, the RandMan ain't goin' no further, pal.*

*The "you" in my response is the in general you, not the specific you.

Sorry, that should have been only one use of the word "pal".

    Hi Zack - Mr. GenXer!

It all depends for me, I guess.

Sometimes  think I've gone 'overly-descriptive' in my posts, though.
    :)

Probably, but you're not one of those people trying to write a short story.

Meh.  I write for my own pleasure.

That is the length I go for.  When I feel done, I am done.  It is so freeing.  No one is paying me to get people to read this.   Sometimes (often) they don't read it.  I know I am such a reader myself after all these years.   I learned to try and keep everyone in the loop so they know I still think they are relevant and read them as much as I can.

See?  There I go again.  Blah blah blah

With pictures too.  I really like those.

I guess it depends on the subject.  If it's something in which I'm interested, I will probably skim through the entire post.  If it's something that could be answered in a couple of sentences, but goes on forever, I just move on.

I don't usually read more than one line, if that.  In most cases I just read the question.
