Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» America is a very violent country. Can we blame the Second Amendment for that? Why are Americans unable to live without guns?
When you have wackos who are THIS sick, and absolutely NO safeguards to prevent them getting weapons ... https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/churchgoers-clutch-rifles-and-wear-crowns-in-bizarre-gun-blessing-ceremony/news-story/fc77bcb65aee58cdd9e218be45b9cb5e
I asked a question about that very bizarre dingy thingy yesterday Sbf. The guns were allegedly not loaded. They did it to make a statement. They are locked in wedded bliss with their guns unto eternity and beyond. Let no/not man put asunder! SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)
No, we can blame the environment. The violent video games and movies, we allow children to watch from a young age. The breaking up of the family. The acceptable drug use. The removal of God from the public square. You simply cannot stop teaching values and then be surprised when behaviors start to show those values are gone.
Add two more items to that list: arresting parents for disciplining (not abuse, discipline) their children, and the decriminalization of statutory rape.
Agreed. Statutory rape laws have been watered down with lowering ages and exceptions. It very disgusting. I remember when my brother got in trouble and told my Mom he was going to call the child abuse hotline. She told him "Go ahead. I will have you beat before they get here." And the gave him the phone. He immediately got up and did whatever it was he had been told to do. I don't know what would have happened if she would have backed down in fear and let him get by with not listening. How much farther down the road of rebellion he would have went. Just to be clear, no one in was ever abused in my parents home.
