The standing joke is that everything in Australia can kill you.

Do you know what probably won't kill you in Australia?

    An assault rifle.

Never heard that joke before Sbf. Steve Irwin could have died anywhere that stingrays exist. That was what killed him wasn't it? The proclivity for violence in America puzzles me. It isn't necessary to living a good life to sleep with a loaded weapon by your bed and carry loaded weapons wherever you go. It doesn't embarrass gun people to show how frightened they are 24/7. I guess asking why is pointless? I'm  gonna ask anyway. Thank you for your reply!  :)

We have seven of the world's ten most venomous snakes, two of the four deadliest spiders, the most venomous octopus, the two deadliest jellyfish ...

I don't go in the water. That eliminates the octopi and jellyfish. I don't go out in the OUTBACK. Or I wouldn't if I were an Aussie. I'm a homebody. I'd be a he** of a lot safer there than where I am. Thank you for your reply Sbf! :)

Funnel web spiders are endemic to Sydney, our biggest city - the deadly variety is not found anywhere else in the world. Redback spiders don't mind the company of humans either,  our refuse attracts their prey. Some snakes are found in the suburbs, too.

Did you by any chance see the movie "Charlotte's Web" Sbf? Well I fell in love with Charlotte who just happened to be a very wise spider. She was very kind and loving. Ever since that movie I think differently of spiders. We don't kill them we save them. Jim gets a glass and puts it over the spider and then slides a thin piece of cardboard underneath the glass and he carries to safety and we let it out in the backyard. So the movie had a definite effect on me. For the good I think. Now I'm pretty sure as a character of fiction Charlotte was not a Funnel web spider. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

But you don't have crazy people with deadly assault rifles that will kill for no reason than their own amusement.  All those creatures kill for self-preservation.
