It's a pity McCain ran eight years too early. Has the courage of his convictions if nothing else. If you have to have a Republican in the WH, and I suppose you do occasionally, he's better than most. Didn't have a prayer of being elected in 2008, with Bush 2's GFC at its height a Republican candidate was less likely than a brontosaurus to be elected. He also had a complete dingbat as a running mate - and given his age, there was the fear that the stress if the job could have killed him. Nobody, but NOBODY, was going to risk President Palin.
What he said was eloquent Sbf. But also Ryan and McConnell and a few other Republicans decried what doofylucy did/said. Congratulating a murderer for "winning" a rigged election? Saying nothing about what Russia has done to harm us and others of our allies? The guy is nothing but road kill shoe scum who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and is heard from no more (courtesy of Will) .
