Character does matter in politics, but character is relative and people need to have perspective.
Politicians often lie but so do ordinary people. Politicians often cheat on their spouses, but so do about 50% of people. (Women just as much as men, they're just better at not getting caught). It's sin, but it's a very human and ordinary sin. The people at the highest levels of the establishment are part of satanic secret societies. What they do is not the usual human failings.
There are people in the U.S. congress, on both sides of the aisle, who have done unspeakable things. Some of them probably have 30 tortured dead kids buried under their houses and I have to listen to you bang on about whether Trump shagged Stormy Daniels. You're really don't understand the gravity of our situation.
