Do you sign petitions? How do you know for sure how your signature will be used? For what, when, why and where?

If I agree I will sign. But usually it is stuff I don't agree with.
The last ones being at the Circus....some one trying to ban them on the way in. And on the way out it was someone else trying to legallize pot.
