Is there something you know about your superior at your workplace which no one else does?

I was alone in the building lift when the doors opened and in walks my CEO, 73, hand in hand with a married Spanish lady in her late 50s who works in another  company in our building. In a whisper, my CEO admonished me: "Not a word to anyone, please." I quietly shook my head in agreement. As they exited the lift, the lady looked  back, her eyes silently imploring me not to betray them.

When I was in the Navy years ago, I found out my Chief was bi-sexual.

Wow, that's soap opera-level and tabloid level stuff there!  You have leverage to ask for almost anything you want!  "Executive Memo #18-253.  Beginning immediately, Neelie will move into the large corner office on the top floor, she'll be assigned two personal secretaries, a personal assistant, a bookkeeper, a manservant, a cook, a cosmetologist, a beautician, an interior decorator, and a driver."

No, seriously now. In my case, I have no dirt on anyone. I'm such a workaholic that I never know any of the office gossip nor do I participate in it. Things probably happen right under my nose and I stay oblivious.

You really are the busy body gossip mill, aren't you.

It's nice that you kept that little secret to yourself.

    Geesh!
