Hmm at the moment the job I have is proving the most difficult... but not because of the content - I could do that standing on my head.. it challenges and stretches me but I am more than able to meet that challenge... it's difficult because of the shallowness, the back-stabbingness, the total inability to manage people fairly and reasonably.. and because of the sheer nastiness. In short the manager and semi-manager are unpleasant people.. I find that very hard to cope with... then the nastiness got turned on me... even more difficult and then the ultimate hideous move... I am not sure I can cope with this.. it might even beat me.. which is unheard of.. but these ones might just achieve it.. I wont go down without a fight... but it's seriously going to be the most unpleasant, stressful and difficult thing I have ever had to endure at work ever.
I'm really sorry to hear that Addb. I experienced that ONCE and once was quite enough. I left a very good job because of it. At some point I just decided the pay and benefits just weren't worth the crap that went along with it so I left. The first few years were great. At some point a person who had been a "friend" became offended by something I did when the president of the company asked me to do an analysis. The prez also asked him to do an analysis and the prez went with mine because the outcome was more in line with what was occurring in the company. The other guy became furious at me. I asked him what he expected me to do? Tell the prez I couldn't do it? He said no but I should have told the prez I would have to check with him. See how ridiculous a person he was? AS IF I would do such a thing! I worked alone on my own. So from then on he went out of his way to be insulting. I had bruised his fragile male ego. Made him look bad in front of the prez. Heck I didn't even know that the prez had asked two people to do the same analysis. Anyway I know what of you speak and it sucks! I don't know why some folks seem to delight in picking fights and jockeying around for an upper hand or whatever. There are just some folks who thrive on nasty and it is our misfortune to encounter them at work. Have you no other choice at the moment but to endure it? Good luck and I hope bad luck streams down upon them. A pox on their houses. There's not much I can do long-distance to help but I can think dark thoughts about them and kind thoughts about you. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)
You caddied at the age of 11 bh? Wow! You must have been a very strong kid. What do clubs weigh? And playing the game on a hot day isn't the most pleasant experience (according to Jim who is a golfer). Being the caddy and lugging the clubs around for hours in hot weather must have been very tough. Did you only do it once? Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)
Oh my goodness! That's way heavy bh! For an 11-year-old? Geez it's amazing you didn't hurt yourself. Thank you for your reply and Happy Easter Sunday! :)
That sounds really hard BR. Two of our sons had jobs as truck drivers a few years ago and on occasion they had to unload all by themselves. Some of the companies to whom they made deliveries had loading docks of course but no personnel assigned to do the unloading. That was a tough job. Fortunately the jobs they have now don't require that kind of heavy lifting. Thank you for your reply and Happy Easter Sunday! :)
