We will have a woman President some day....when a good one finally runs.
As always it is not about gender it is POLICY that matters.

You make it sound like a lot but actually only 50% of nations have ever had a female leader.

At least 80% of the people who are capable of leading their country are male. It is quite reasonable, even for country with an egalitarian culture, to only elect a female leader every 5 elections or so.

They generally have leftist tendencies and are weak leaders. They have a tendency to strive for compromise and political unity instead of standing for principles.

I'll vote for a woman in a heartbeat, but only if she has my values and is tough enough to fight for them. A female leader needs to be an iron lady.  Though unfortunately Margaret Thatchers are rare. Sadly Britain is now stuck with weak Theresa May. God help us.

It's not anything to do with quality of women, I know for a fact there are gazillions of more than capable women in America.. there seems a slightly greater problem with sexism though and that doesn't help. Way too many misogynists, aka dinosaurs there. Sadly too more than necessary women who support that :( But even so, still enough good quality women to more than adequately serve your country and make it proud.  And it's not that OUR men are useless either.. just that it's more natural and accepted here that the best person for the job is the best person for the job, regardless of whether they are women or men.. It is a little eyebrow raising though that in all this time, given America used to be a country that led by example, that there hasn't been a woman president yet.

America is a very backward country. For all the superduper egotistical pronouncements and bloated views they have the proof of the pudding is in the eating.  Many women want daddy to run things. They don't support their own gender. They will always be "daddy's little girl" and they don't trust a woman to do anything important. I think the teens who are now in charge  and doing so well will change all of that. The adults are dinosaurs. Antiquated. Ancient. Unteachable. No desire to learn. They like what they are so they are gonna stay that way thank you for very much. Well they're mostly way old and when they die out the young will take over and do the right thing. Thank you for your reply Addb!
