The best way to start to get to know people here is simply to participate. Ask questions. Answer questions. Post a blog. Upload some pictures or videos (and let people comment on them). Check to see if there are any groups who cover subjects which relate to you or your interests. Eventually, you'll start forming dialogues with other people.
