Billionairhead GOP campaign contributors DEMANDED tax cuts or they'd pull contributions. They begrudge teachers getting raises. WHY?

Because teachers ACTUALLY WORK FOR A LIVING while the billionairheads sit on their fat a**es clipping coupons and making demands for WELFARE HANDOUTS aka TAX CUTS OR ELSE? Why else?

    Tax cuts are not welfare.

It is not the governments money.

Those who've had money all their life can't understand why everyone else isn't like them.  While some actually worked hard to get their money, many more simply inherited it or "fell into it".  Either way, the vast majority of them don't seem to understand that not everyone gets the same breaks in life.  Not everyone has the same abilities (physically or intellectually).  Not everyone can invent a new computer or life saving drug.  Not everyone can play professional sports or be a career politician.  Someone has to do "menial" jobs.  Where would the rich be without them?  Who would sell them their Big Mac and fries?  Who would haul away their garbage?  How many of the rich are educated?  How'd they get that education, osmosis?  No, they were taught by a teacher.  Maybe mommy and daddy sent them to a prestigious institution, but it was a teacher who taught them nonetheless.  Doesnt everyone deserve to be educated, or is that a luxury afforded only to the wealthy?  Should a teacher be paid to teach, or should they do it out of the "kindness of their hearts"?  Many teachers have to pay for school supplies out of their own meger salary, and work numerous hours of unpaid overtime just to get their job done.  Yet when money is "increased" for schools, the first thing done is give the administrators pay raises.

Welfare?  The rich can't understand welfare.  To them it's an atrocity to give anyone "free handouts" (unless it's to them).  Get a job, you lazy bums!  In reality, the rich have all the money (there's only a finite amount of money in the world), but they refuse to part with it so that these so-called "lazy bums" CAN get a job.  They overwork, overtax and otherwise exploit these "freeloaders" paying them a pittance that they must work more and more just to survive.  Welfare is designed to help the poor and unfortunate  get a foothold in life, not become a way of life.  While it's true, some exploit the system, not everyone who's on welfare is a lazy bum. While the rich sit by their pool in their summer home or by the fire in their winter vacation home, the rest of the world is struggling to pay the monthly rent on a cardboard box - even with 2 to 3 jobs.  Lets see the rich get by on $200/mo for food (what one gets on welfare).  Heck, they spend more than that on lunch.

The rich need a reality check.  They need to see what it's REALLY like out in the world.  No silver platers, no servants, no country clubs, no special gratuities because of who you are, no golden parachutes, no free healthcare...  you know, just like the rest of us "bums".

Exactly Shuhak! Tax cuts for the wealthy...subsidies...loopholes. Things to which they feel ENTITLED. They are all handouts...welfare...obscenely rich style. They see it as their "just due".  When lazy bums are wealthy whatever they get is what they "should" being rich and all. Delusions. Illusions. We all have them. Only the wealthy have them in luxury, lavishness, ostentatious showoffy pretentiousness . The rest of us? The air is not as rarified. The wealthy use their social welfare handouts to buy more of what they already have enough of or too much of whereas the rest of us use it to survive. Big difference. Thank you for your thoughtful reply and Happy Friday! :). This post was edited by RosieG at April 6, 2018 2:20 AM MDT
