Just add another mark of distinction to the donjohn attack track record. What do you expect him to do when he isn't eating or playing golf or sexually assaulting unwilling females? He attacks. It's what he does best.
It will be a welcome opportunity for other countries to buy from one of the 2 combatants (or both) and sell what they bought to the other at a nice markup. Alas the logical route between the US and China is across the pacific so Denmark probably wont gain much income that way. We do have MAERSK though, so I guess we could station some big freighters in the pacific to sail back and forth there. They would have to do something about all the "Made in ___" labels though. Thankfully soybeans dont have labels
Here's what I don't get JakobA. Maybe you can explain it to me . The US OWES China $1 Trillion dollars in loans we took or debt or whatever. I guess during the past years we were short of money and they bankrolled us. I don't really understand how that works. Why in the he** would we pick a monster huge creditor to engage in trade wars with? Is there no connection at all? Could China call the money due at any time? What happens if they dump US bonds on the world market? Doesn't China have the upper hand? Any help you can give me to understand what seems to me to be another really stupid dumb blunder by goofydoofylucy would be appreciated. The stock market can't get a grip. It goes upsy and downsy daily. Glad I'm not in it. I don't have the temperament or the stomach for it! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

As a first thing there are the interest to be paid yearly on that debth, That give China quite a bank roll to fund other activitiee. Also it is well known that if China suddenly call in that debt that will be a disaster. not just for the US economy, but every economy in the world. including Chinas. something like a worldwide depression. Trump knows that, and relies on it, but I doubt he have thought through what other steps China could take to hurt the US economically. Sofar China have been super careful in building UP their economic reputation. Trump have already squanders a good bit of the economic reputation of the US. He cannot afford to loose much more of it.
