    The Bank crashes have alredy been there (think subprime) but they were not enough by themselves. Now it seems Trump is giving it another try with this Trade War he have started with China. It is probably not his goal, but if China win it that could be the result. The Chinese do not see Peace and Plenty as someting they are entitled to, the way most Americans do.     Thank you Jacoba. Here is the next question I'm gonna ask. "In order to fund the Omnibus Budget do we have to borrow more money from China?"     I rather doubt any other nation than the US have assets enough to borrow another 1.3 trillion on top of the 6 to 8 trillion that is already owed. Switzerland probably could do it, but they will not. It is kind of a religious thing for them.

    Don't know if you saw the question I asked yesterday JakobA. If you answered it apologies for the doubling up but I haven't checked all my responses yet. Here it is. Why do countries lend and borrow?  Why don't we pay our own bills? We owe China $1.1 trillion or whatever and they owe us back $1.1 trillion or whatever. That makes no sense to me at all. Does it make sense to you? If so please enlighten me. Right now it seems really ridiculous that we  should loan money to countries who loan money to us. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday. If we so many assets and are so richly wealthy WHY do we have to borrow money? AARRGGHH! :(

    I think that was the point of isolating me JakobA. I don't mind at all. I ask so many questions I think I was overwhelming the site and annoying lots of folks. I'd rather have folks seek me out. They know what they are getting and so they tend to be polite/civil/cordial/friendly. There is much less traffic  vis a vis the insulting folks who used to pounce and bandwagon me relentlessly. Small cabals. One would show up and then another and then another. I am free of that mostly and I like it! Now and then one of them will find his way to me but I simply ignore them. I like having my own corner. I can ask anything I want and never worry about a classification. The reclassifiers don't have to worry about me either. I can keep asking complex/compound questions and no one has to decide where to place it. It frees me and saves time. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate it! :) Here I am!     the phrase 'Why do countries lend' could not be found in the first 10 pages of Rosie questions.
    Are you sure the wording is right?
    Can you give a good guess at what date the question was posted?
