It was quite expensive 13 years ago and it was not always the best available equipment that every salon used...yes it was mildly painful back then and hair took far more sessions to stop the regrowth if you are a natural blonde....
Yes , it can be used in even very delicate areas ,with no real side effects apart for redness and a tiny bit of discomfort....cooling creams help a lot....
From what I've heard ,modern upto date laser equipment are quicker a far less painful , it also requires quite a fer monthly treatments ,more if you have fair hair I think it's far cheaper to now with modern equipment ...
I've never heard of side effects, best to try a small area first though.....:)
