WHEN you are 100% INNOCENT no one can "flip" on you because there is nothing there to flip. What does don have to fear?
It is an odd way to insist on innocence. Not calm and measured and thoughtful and logical but frantic, possessed, obsessed, reactive. Odd but possible?
Only God is innocent and he still ended up on a cross.
Even if someone is squeaky clean, the system can still extort someone into bearing false witness. First they look at you. If you're clean, then look at your associates. If your associates are clean, then they look at your associate's associates. Then they tell your associate they'll indict his son, or wife etc if he doesn't tell them what they wish to hear.
The FBI could indict Jesus because they're corrupt. When they choose to go after someone, they can can find a Judas to rat him out, they can find a enough Pontius Pilates who'll go with the flow.
Only yesterday you were lamenting McCarthyism. What did the lefties who were falsely accused of communist sympathies have to fear? Why didn't they just answer the questions in a calm, measured, thoughtful and logical way? You know why, so be real.
