    Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining"

    I'm kidding basically. It's a great movie but, compared to the book, Jack Nicholson and the words he has to say and act (and the ad-libs he added) ruin King's story.

    :)

    (To me, the made-for-TV series of "The Shining" is perfection in comparison.)
