Trump lied. Though lying in order to manipulate enemies is no vice. Trump knows when to use flattery and when to use mockery because he's a masterful negotiator.
When he was mocking Kim Jong Un, you didn't get it. You thought it was the ravings of a lunatic.
Now, on the edge of making a deal that defuses tensions in the entire region, he uses flattery and you still don't get it....

And there's something new in all that?? When Obama and Slick Willie, kow- towed and kissed the little "Rocket Man's" man's a**, somehow it was deemed appropriate. Strangely, it didn't bring us any closer to a solution on keeping NK's psychopath in check. Licking boots just doesn't quite measure up to "peace through strength".
Honour among thieves is the concept that criminals do not compromise the activities of other criminals (see also Omertà). It can also mean that even corrupt or criminal individuals can possess some form of honour, justice, or moral code.
