Does the "religious right" dislike Jesuits? It is based on JESUS. What's so dislikable?

Did Ryan really allow a MJSLIM to pray? How is that fair to the JESUIT priest he fired? Jesuits (Society of Jesus) are members of a ROMAN CATHOLIC order. Is Ryan anti-Catholic, Anti-Mormon, Anti-Jesuit ? What is he pro? Presbyterian, Unitarian, Zoroastrian, Equestrian, Rotarian, Agrarian, Vegetarian? Anyone know? What a cataclysmic obtuse clown he turned out to be. A nothing. A wimp. A cipher. A zero. A zed.

Possibly because they are a hierarchical sect with a history of harsh judgements against Protestants.

You can't judge a book by its cover and you can't judge an organisation by its name. Though in this case, there is a meaningful clue in the name. It means SOLDIER of Christ.

The Jesuits have long been the Vatican's military arm.

    https://www.biblebelievers.org.au/jesuits.htm

Here is a particularly nasty excerpt from the Jesuit extreme oath of induction only given to high ranking Jesuits.

"I furthermore promise and declare that I will, when opportunity presents, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Liberals, as I am directed to do, to extirpate and exterminate them from the face of the whole earth; and that I will spare neither age, sex or condition; and that I will hang, waste, boil, flay, strangle and bury alive these infamous heretics, rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women and crush their infants' heads against the walls, in order to annihilate forever their execrable race. That when the same cannot be done openly, I will secretly use the poisoned cup, the strangulating cord, the steel of the poniard or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or authority of the person or persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agent of the Pope or Superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Faith, of the Society of Jesus."

The roman catholic church has some good people in it, but its heart is rotten. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at April 30, 2018 3:40 PM MDT

This oath is taken from the book Subterranean Rome by Carlos Didier, translated from the French, and published in New York in 1843.

(That "oath" can also be found in the Congressional Record.)

The Jesuits were my teachers for last 3 years of high school. This "oath" sounds about as reasonable as the "flat earth" theory.

So what we have in the Congressional Record is a document anonymously circulated during a heated election campaign, in the hope of stirring up religious bigotry among the electorate. Both sides disavowed its authenticity. It was included in a House Report summarizing an investigation of that election, because it was attached to a document submitted by one of the candidates. The Report was reprinted in the Congressional Record.

None of this, in my opinion, can be said to constitute any sort of "authentication" of this document by Congress - in fact, its authenticity appears to have been denied by all parties concerned. (Plus, as noted above, the document purported to be a "Knights of Columbus" oath, rather than a Jesuit one.

The citation for all this (if anyone else is interested enough to look it up!) is H.R. Rep. No. 62-1523 (1913), reprinted in the Congressional Record for February 15, 1913, at pp. 3215-3220.

So that's why you let tradition trump scripture. You were indoctrinated from your youth as no one with an open mind and that has read the Bible can think the Catholic Church is biblical.

(Mark 7:13) Thus you make the word of God invalid by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like this.”
