My oh my. The john of don worshippers who decry making fun of a woman's appearance forget their guy does that 24/7! Why?

Are they purposely oblivious to all his faults/weaknesses/wrongdoings or does he have them so  entranced/hypnotized they simply forget what he is and says or it never registers at all? One wonders how they can go through life so oblivious to what is going on around them? Luck? A guardian angel?

In my experience of talking to many Trumpeteers they seem to be overly willing to excuse anything he does. I cannot figure out why, or why they don't seem to get that if you have a someone with that low a moral code and that low an affinity for the truth, there WILL be consequences.

I don't defend any personal comments he makes about anyone....male or female.
I only care about policies. We knew how we talked before he was elected...does not excuse it. But he is 1000% better than Hillary.

Yes, no worries, I know you don't defend bad behaviour.. but so many others I have talked to do... and I do particularly study this phenomenon. From a psychological standpoint, it's fascinating, why people do what the do when it comes to someone who is almost wholly reprehensible.

You know too I am not a fan of Hilary.. I can't be, I am always just an interested and objective bystander.. I can only call it as I see it and find it. From that perspective Hilary talked like a sane, rational human being, and Trump didn't. What she said was sane and reasoning... what Trump said wasn't.. So that's where this started for me - the things that came out of that obscene and revolting mouth of Trump's turned me against him.. HE turned me against him..Some of his tin-pot policies as it happened also turned me against him...but mainly my objection has always been HIM, his behaviour, his complete lack of moral fibre and his complete ignorance in the way he speaks, I do have one bias and class is one of those, as in lack of.

I cannot see, logically why people who vote for a proven liar and cheat would think he will do anything other than bad for the country...

But what gets me is... aside from people defending him.. is that he HASN'T performed well so far..he hasn't kept his promises, he hasn't lived up to expectation and indeed has done an awful lot of bad for America and very much so its reputation and standing on the world stage, and what's fascinating is how people still seem to defend that! They will make statements in defence of his performance which are just not true...

It gives me much cause for thought and wonderment..

Part of it is a lack of education and knowledge.

One can make a deal with the devil in which he instigates and effects all of the policies one thinks think are best and important.

The problem is the deal is for your soul---and at the time of the contract, some people don't really appreciate the consequences of getting those policies implemented.

To me, that's an untenable approach to reality, but the Hitler supporters though he was doing a great job also.

And I'm not comparing Trump to Hitler---I'm comparing the mindset of those who supported Hitler and those who now support Trump.

If I recall history correctly, the German people had to be made to tour the concentration camps to make sure they understood that policies without principles are extremely dangerous.

Let's hope the Trump supporters have to take a similar tour in the near future.

Yes, I like simple facts....you and I both know what we would have got with Hillary and I know I don't want it.

They deflect. They avoid They ignore. They defend. They protect. They worship. They adore. They love. They forgive. They accept. They believe anything and everything he says even though he is constantly contradicting himself. If they notice they don't mind. If they don't notice they can't mind. They are besotted and have put their religious beliefs aside and pretend to believe in God while always  defending an evil man who has evil thoughts and said evil words and done evil things. They don't see the problem. That's the problem! SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)

No, you don't get it. I think that comedienne's act was in poor taste and just not funny. Though ultimately I don't think it is intrinsically morally wrong to mock someone. It's just part of politics. What I'm objecting to, is the left's double standards.

It's the leftist that claims it's misogynistic to mock a woman's appearance. Therefore it is the leftist that is a dirty hypocrite when they violate that principle.

The left selectively applies its principles all the time. When a conservative criticises a fat, lesbian, black woman it's because they're a fat shaming, homophobic, racist, sexist, misogynistic bigot. When a leftist does it, it's because she deserved it. So do you in fact think that Trump is a "fat shaming, homophobic, racist, sexist, misogynistic bigot?

Well, he did call Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig. That could be considered fat shaming I suppose. I don't accept that it is misogynistic to call a woman a fat pig since it's just talking about that woman, not women in general. When someone insults an individual man, nobody takes that as negative about men in general. Women are considered a collective for some reason. Insult one and you've insulted them all, as far as some people are concerned.

Trump has never said anything racist or homophobic and anyone who claims he has is really being very intellectually dishonest.

Trump has never said anything I consider sexist. If anything, Trump is too egalitarian. He has treated women too equally, such as traded insults with them like he would with a man. Giving women the equality that they say they want is a recipe to be seen as a misogynist pig. Treat women like they’re half way between an adult and a child and you’ll be considered a gentleman.

I consider sexism to be considering one gender intrinsically superior to the other. Though the left, being obsessed with egalitarian fantasies, promote a completely gender neutral attitude. They deny obvious psychological differences and gender roles that are hardwired into our DNA. So, I don’t accept their definition of sexist.

“Bigot” is a bullsh*t word that doesn't really mean anything. It hinges on whether intolerance is reasonable or not, which is just a matter of opinion. Sometimes intolerance is justified. Life is full of things we don't tolerate. A person who tolerates everything is a morally bankrupt psychopath. Bigot is just a word to throw at one's enemy like mud and hope it sticks.
