Yeah, I did see that movie -- on some afternoon matinee on TV, sometime in my early teens I think.

I saw it. Crappy movie. It did not depict the actual factuals. I know...I was there.

The volcano of Fuuji (japan) house the demon lord and all his minions. A thriving profession have grown up with Heroes training and going there to kill lots of skeletons and giants, etc. And they all hope to be the one who kills the demon lord. Then someone do just that, and without the demon lord the whole demon threat collapse. The main character of the story was in training to become one of those heroes, but with no more any need for heroes he now has to find some other way to make a living.
