Kick out both a**es at once. The don juan and the veep. A twofer. Save time and agony of going through it again with Pence. Pre-empt the eventuality. Cheaper.
Being stump dumb or confused and wayyy out of one's depth isn't a "high crime and misdemeanor", otherwise Dubya wouldn't have lasted one year never mind eight. Pence keeps his nose clean and isn't bright enough to get up to shenanigans. The US can handle him for a couple years.
