    Not socially. Though social graces don't apply in politics. Hitler is dead but it's okay to speak ill of Hitler, isn't it?

    Some people have brains that are wired for prehistoric village life where the entire political world was about 200 people who all know each other. It's bit awkward if you upset your neighbour's family. The modern world doesn't work like that. This isn't the village council.

    If they stood for bad things in life those ideas don't die with them. Political ideas are immortal. Just because someone is dying / dead doesn't change who they are, and it shouldn't change how they are treated. Enemies must be destroyed in life and in death.
